2 Samuel 7:1-16
Our text passage shows us an insight that brought blessings into King David's life.
King David desired to build a house for God, it was his intention and this pleased God.
God honored David's good intention towards God's presence (the ark of the covenant), He did so through David's son- King Solomon.
Kind Solomon went on to build what is perhaps the most glorious and expensive temple ever built for the Lord.
1 Kings 6:1-14
It all started with a godly intention, King David's intention.
Your intention can also please God.
David's intention brought glory to God.
God wants to honor your godly intentions as He honored David's intention.
Your intention emanates from your heart and gives strength to your imagination.
What you intend is what you will most likely imagine.
Whatever a people intend, imagine, and work together in unity to achieve will be accomplished.
Genesis 11:4-6
Your intention can become your focus, when this focus is given illumination through your imagination, it's manifestation is almost certain.
Your intention is powerful.
King Solomon is another individual who benefitted from having a good and godly intention.
Solomon the young king of Israel found himself in the big shoes of his father, the legendary King David.
A young man, with his father's legend to live up to, at a time he had just stepped into King David's big shoes, Solomon asked God for wisdom (a discerning heart and knowledge) to lead God's people right.
Pleased with Solomon's request, a request which came from Solomon's heart, God gave Solomon an abundance of what he asked for, and added distinction, majesty, and material prosperity.
1 Kings 3:7-14
Solomon's intention was right and it got him blessed.
The blessings he got from God started with Solomon intending to lead God's people right.
1 Kings 3:9,10
Your kingdom intentions can attract blessings into your life and generations.
This is part of what it means to seek first the kingdom of God, His righteousness, and all other things will be added.
Matthew 6:33
God spoke to Abraham, giving him the instruction to sacrifice Isaac his son on Mount Moriah.
Abraham intended to obey.
Abraham wasn't like Jonah the evangelist who didn't want the people of Nineveh to repent and disobeyed God temporarily.
Abraham acted on his intention and God given instruction, he got blessed for it.
Genesis 22:1-15
It attracted God's generational blessing.
It made God swear.
Genesis 22:16-18
Your godly intentions can get you blessed.
