Cast Your Net

 John 21:4-6

There will usually be an instruction that precedes your miracle harvest from God.

You have your own role to play in receiving or harvesting what God has for you.

God does not do for us, what He expects us to do ourselves.

Peter and the other disciples in the boat received a miracle catch from God as the text passage above shows.

There are lessons we can glean from how they received from Jesus the Christ.

1. They were instructed, and they obeyed.

2. These disciples received their harvest of a miracle catch while they were on the job.

3. They cast their net.

Just like Peter and the other fishermen disciples were, we have to be sensitive to God's instruction and be ready to obey it when it comes.

Jesus showed up on the seashore and gave those disciples an instruction when they were not expecting it.

God's word can come to you at anytime and at any moment, when it comes what will you do with it?

When God's word comes to you, will you discern it?

When God's word comes to you, will you disregard it, or will you obey it?

You will do well to obey God when He instructs you, this is what will get you blessed!

Luke 11:28

You need to hear God to obey Him, hearing God calls for your spiritual sensitivity.

1 Samuel 15:22

We see that Peter and the other disciples were working when they received their miracle harvest.

This suggests to me that Peter was not a lazy man, as well as the other fishermen disciples.

Fishing was their job, and they were very diligent at it.

They were working when Jesus showed up.

God requires of us to be diligent at what we do, whether that's with  our kingdom service to God, in our daily responsibilities and chores, or in our businesses/jobs.

Proverbs 13:4

We see from the scriptures that the fishermen disciples were either going about their ministry with the Lord or they were on the seas in their boat fishing.

They were diligent in their calling/ministry as well as their secular professions.

God rewards and blesses the diligent man.

Jesus instructed the disciples according to our text passage to use what they had in their hands, which is their net. Their fishermen's net.

You have something in your hands that God can use.

There is something within you that God can use.

There is something you have access to, that God can use to bless you.

God will not ask you to use what you do not have.

Jesus asked His disciples what they had, He asked them what was available to feed the multitude before He multiplied the five loaves of bread and two fish to feed over five thousand men.

Mark 6:34 - 44

God is asking you today, what do you have in your hand, what do you have within you, what do you have access to?

God will use what you have to bless you, so do an inventory of what you've got.

You have your faith

Romans 12:3

The net Peter cast to the right hand side for a catch of fish is symbolic of your faith.

Cast your faith out into the deep for a catch.

Miracles will respond to your net (faith).

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
