Growing In The Love & Spirit of God

 1 Corinthians 13:11

Love is for the mature.

True godly, divine, holy love is for the mature. It is for those who are mature in the sight of God.

Growth is of the kingdom of God.

God wants and expects us to grow in our love walk.

The kingdom of God is associated with growth from the scriptures.

It is likened to a stone which grew into a mountain.

Daniel 2:34-35

The kingdom of God is a constantly increasing kingdom.

Isaiah 9:7

Increase is of the kingdom, as a kingdom citizen you have a right to increase and grow.

2 Peter 3:18

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit and presence of God's kingdom.

It is a kingdom requirement that we grow in the Spirit and presence of God.

The Holy Spirit in turn helps us grow in love.

Romans 5:5

The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of love for God is love.

Jesus walked in the fullness of the Spirit of God.

Matthew 3:13-17

Due to the presence and fullness of the Spirit with Jesus, He demonstrated great love. Love to do God's will which made Him lay down His life.

It is our right as citizens of God's kingdom to grow and increase in the love and Spirit of God.

The Spirit of God is the Spirit found in the born again, the new creation of God.

John 3:3-6

The Spirit helps us to love and live in the ordinances of of the new covenant.

John 15:26-27

Jesus made this known to His disciples when they passed through Samaria and his disciples felt unfairly treated. They were on their way to Jerusalem and the Jews and the Samaritans did not have much to do with one another in those days, knowing Jesus and his disciples were on their way to Jerusalem they were not welcomed. This prompted James and John to ask Jesus if they should call fire down on all the inhabitants like Elijah (Elias) did.

Jesus frowned at this.

The disciples must have read the scrolls and were familiar with the exploit of the prophet Elijah who called fire down from heaven and killed the soldiers sent by the king to arrest him.

2 Kings 1:10

Jesus didn't come to destroy men's lives but to save them.

Luke 9:56

The Spirit of Jesus is a Spirit of love which saves and builds men.

Jesus is greater than Elijah.

Jesus is a better role model than Elijah was.

Jesus was not of the spirit of Elijah's dispensation.

Jesus came in the Spirit of the kingdom, He came in the Spirit of love and reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:19

The kingdom message is a message of reconciliation with God.

The Spirit of God and love are of the kingdom.

We are to grow in love and God's Spirit through continuous fellowship with God.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
