Winning By Praise

2 Chronicles 20: 1-12
2 Chronicles 20:13-23

The enemy (Satan) doesn't fight fair.
Agents of Satan in the form of human beings don't fight fair to.
They are like their master, the very force that uses them.

On life's journey you may come across such people.
You don't have to look for them, if you are on God's side they will look for you.
Such people came against Jehoshaphat (king of Judah).
They were the enemy nations which were enemies of God's people.
They networked and gathered together to defeat Jehoshaphat.
Three nations against one nation is not a fair fight.
Three kings against one king is not a fair fight.
This was the predicament Jehoshaphat was in and he looked doomed and sure to fail.

Fortunately Jehoshaphat was part of God's chosen people, a people loved by and connected to a God who specializes in strategies.
Praise is a winning strategy.
And praise was the strategy God gave Jehoshaphat to defeat his adversaries.

Praise, unfortunately is seen by many believers as something that's done only when we are happy or to while away time at the beginning of a church service.
There is more to praise than that!
Praise is a spiritual law that generates effects.
Praise is an action God responds to with His presence. Psalm 22: 3
Praise is a strategy that ensures you win.

You will not always feel like praising God but when you do against all odds and circumstances, it becomes a sacrifice God accepts!
Praising God, giving thanks, a heart of gratitude is God's will for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
It is not God's will for you to fail so praise will help you to succeed.

Praise brings fruitfulness and increase. Psalm 67: 5, 6
Praise makes God water your life.
Praise gives the victory over your enemies.
If you can praise despite contrary situations you are not defeated.

True praise emanates from the heart and is expressed through the mouth. Hebrews 13:15
True praise must be done in Spirit.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
