The Oil, The Sword & The Fire.

As we journey through life there can be dark days.
There can be difficult times and what the Bible calls "the hour of darkness".
Luke 22:53
God knows about our tough times and our hour of darkness, but more importantly He cares.
Psalm 8:4
Because God loves us, He cares for us.
Because He cares, He has made provision for our difficult times, for our hour of darkness.
Psalm 46:1

Irrespective of who or what brought the difficult time, there is provision that God has provided for those in His Kingdom that will help them navigate through such times effectively to the shame of the devil and enemies.
John 10:9

The oil, the sword and the fire are provisions God has given us that should help us out of any and every storm into the place of victory.
Deuteronomy 20:4

The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 61:1
The sword represents the Word of God. Ephesians 6:17
The fire represents God's power and it's effects. Exodus 9:23

The Holy Spirit will help us see, know and teach us what to do in the storm. 1 John 2:20
God's Word will keep us inspired during our difficult time and is our weapon in prayer and declaration to fight off and resist the enemy. Hebrews 4:12

The fire of God or power of God ensures our triumph.
It is available to God's sons and daughters to humble the enemy (Satan) and destroy his works.
2 Kings 1:12
The effect of it is that the enemy and his cohorts are subdued just like the prophets of Baal were subdued before Elijah. 1 Kings 18:25-38
Whatever enemy has come against our lives, whether it's sickness, disease, poverty, reproach, rejection, failure, disappointments or joblessness, the fire of God can burn them off our lives and God's power can ensure that such enemies remain subdued before us.

The oil, the sword and the fire work together.
The oil which is the anointing of God's Spirit works with the sword which is the Word of God.
The oil and the sword produce the fire.
Jesus had given the Word (sword) before the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit (oil) showed up and fire (power) was produced on the head of every one in the upper room.
Acts 2: 1-3

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
