We see this in the old testament.

There are feats and celebrations the children of Israel observed at different times of the year and the priests would declare a blessing over the people as they come with their seeds.

Wisdom is required. Proverbs 4:7
A wise farmer will check the soil he is putting his seed into so that he will have a harvest at harvest season.
In the same way when we carefully plant our seeds into the 'soil' God's Spirit directs us to, we will not miss our harvest.
The soil can be an individual (eg. Melchizedek), it can be an organization or a place (the temple, a church, an altar of the Lord), and it can be a cause (eg. the poor or charity).
Your seed is your finances, your time, your energy, your patience, your talent, your gift and abilities.
We have to seek Go to lead us to use what He has given us in the wisest way possible.
When our seed continuously enters the right soil we enter into the rhythm of God's cycle of blessing.
It is the Lord's will that whatever His people do prospers. Proverbs 16:3
Your blessing is part of God's plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11
Part of God's blessing to you is that your needs are met. Philippians 4:19
