Prayer And Focus

Proverbs 4:25

Your focus inlife matters.
Your focus determines the direction your life will go.
Your spiritual focus is very important, we are to stay focused on the word of God, being heavenly minded and the things of God's Spirit.
Colossians 3:2
This will require discipline.

Staying spiritually focused is a major way we keep Satan out of our lives.
Keep Satan out of our life lives we must!
Satan doesn't bring anyone into their glory, when Satan uses people he uses them to their detriment and destruction. Eg. Absalom, Ahithopael, Judas Iscariot.

Focus has to do with our mind, our discipline and our eyes.
Job knew about being focused in the area of his eyes/sight. Job 31:1
Being focused has benefits to our lives.

Benefits Of Focus:

1) It keeps us out of trouble. Proverbs 4:25
2) We get to our destination or vision faster. Habakuk 2:2
3) It is needed to get to the top. Proverbs 4:27, Joshua 1:8

Prayer helps us to stay focused spiritually. Matthew 6:6
Prayerful people are more spiritually focused people. Colossians 3:2
People who pray often and consistently are people who become more heaven minded. John 14:16
Prayer takes us into God's presence, it is in God's presence we are repaired, renewed, strengthened and receive mercy.
In God's presence the grace to be disciplined and focused is released to us.
This is why we must not joke with our personal time of prayer.

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out.
