Star Killers & Destiny Killers

John 10:10, Revelation 12:4, 1 Samuel 19:1-12

The devil is a specialist at killing and destroying.
The devil is the number one 'star' killer and destroyer of destinies.
From our text passage we see that the devil pulled down one third of the stars of heaven (angels). So he knows how to pull stars down, he knows how to destroy destinies.

The devil is a specialist at cutting people down when their 'star' is about to rise in life. He tried it with David when David started rising in life. But he failed.
He tried it and succeeded with Abel. He destroyed Abel's life after Abel had given an offering and it was accepted by God. Genesis 4:1-8

After God's acceptance and approval of Abel's offering, what would follow is Abel's rise and blessing, that was what his brother Cain envied, and that's what made him kill Abel.
Envy and jealousy seem to be the forces Satan uses to attack rising stars.
We see Satan destroy the glorious destiny of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden due to jealousy and envy.
Adam and Eve were covered with the glory of God and reflecting God's image andlikeness, but Satan wanted what man had. Isaiah 14:12-14, Genesis 3:1-5, Genesis 2:1-25
Because God gave Adam and Eve what Satan wanted on a platter of gold, the devil sort to destroy these shinning stars of the earth.
Jesus's story is another great example of the jealous and envious wanting to destroy a star and great destiny of God. Herod tried to destroy Jesus's destiny and glory from the birth of Jesus.
Matthew 2:12,13
I will not be surprised if the jealous spirit in Herod, King Saul, Cain and the Pharisees who were constantly plotting to destroy Jesus is one and the same spirit at work in all these individuals at different times.
It is the nature of Satan, it started with Satan, and that force or spirit is on earth today still trying to pull people down. Satan is still in the business of pulling stars down.
It was the spirit or force at work iin the shepherds of Gerar who envied Isaac and contested his Father's well with him. Genesis 26:18-22
There will be those who envy you.
Money is not the only thing people can envy you for. It's possible for people who are higher placed that you are to envy you.
David wasn't envied by Saul because He had great wealth.

It was the presence of God with David that Saul envied because he (Saul) was loosing that presence. 1Samuel 16:14
It was the ability to perform miracles that Jesus had which the Pharisees didn't have that made them envy Jesus. It gave Jesus the crowd. Mark 3:1-6, Matthew 12:24
The way Jesus spoke, the wisdom of God at work in Jesus, which the Pharisees didn't have made them envy Jesus. Matthew 22:15-21
Eliab, the older brother of David spoke against David before David faced Goliath. It was jealousy. His younger brother was demonstrating a confidence and courage he (Eliab) didn't have and he was jealous.1 Samuel 17:27-29
Herod was so insecure he couldn't stand to see another King rise who will be greater than him. Matthew 2:3
Cain couldn't bare to see God bless his brother with a blessing he would not receive.
Guard against star and destiny killers. There are certain types of people God says we should guard against. Romans 16:17,18
They are people who don't have what you have or can't do what you do, and the enemy takes a hold of them and uses their envy to attack you.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
