Colossians 3:17
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Thanksgiving to God should be a culture and a lifestyle for God's people.
It is clear from the scriptures we read that thanksgiving should be a daily occurance, it's not something that should be a one off or once in a while act.
Thanksgiving comes about from a heart of gratitude, and we should be grateful to God at all times.
We cannot afford to be miserly with giving God thanks, because giving God thanks for all He does for you is part of how He receives His glory!
And God has said in Isaiah 42:8 that He will not share or yield His glory to anyone.
God's goodness is constant in our life, so our thanksgiving should be constant to God.
What would happen to us if God only gave us air to breath once in a blue moon?
Where would we be if God was a miser?
If God was blessing us ONLY according to how many times we showed gratitude, how blessed would you be?
Thanksgiving is for all seasons, not only good times. Habakkuk 3:17-18
Your thanksgiving to God is important because it ensures you remain in God's cycle of blessing.
Whatever we thank God for, God will be obligated to keep providing.
We can never thank God enough.
There is no such thing as to much gratitude to God, to much worship, or to much gratitude, to much worship, to much praise, to much appreciation.
You should thank God for:-
1)Your life
2) Your Salvation
3) You are created in His image and likeness
4) His Word
5) His Spirit
6) Your eternity
7) Your family
8) Angelic presence in your life
9) Answered prayers you have seen
10) Your health
11) For His love towards you
Thanksgiving also has benefits, these are some of them:
1) Increase. Psalm 67:5-7
2) Divine presence: Psalm 22:3
3) Divine intervention: Acts 16 to 27
4) Wholeness: Luke 17:11-19
5) Establishment: Habakkuk 3: 17 to 19
6) God responds to your critics & enemies: 2 Samuel 6: 20 to 23
7) Restoration: Jeremiah 33:11
8) Strength: Nehemiah 8:10
Thankfulness produces joy which gives strength
