2 Chronicles 27:6, 2 Kings 7:3-8, Proverbs 24:3-5
Planning is not an unspiritual word.
I know most times when we think of words we consider spiritual spiritual we think of words like forgiveness, kindness, prayer, faith, compassion, holiness, purity. Planning is not any less a spiritual word than any of these words.
The word 'plan' appears between 23 times to 105 times in the Bible depending on our translation.
God, who is a Spirit being is also a master planner.
God, who is Spirit is a master strategist.
We are created in the image and likeness of God, and just like God our Father we need to have plans and strategies that will help us get to where we should be in life.
Psalm 25:14 informs us that God gives His secrets/insights to those that fear Him. Those secrets/insights are in line with God's plans for you.
Citizens of God's Kingdom are meant to be people of wisdom because our Lord Jesus has been made wisdom and righteousness to us.
1 Corinthians 1:30
Planning is an aspect of wisdom
Thank God for prayer, prayer is very important. But prayer alone without a plan and the action to back up the plan will not make you win in the race of life.
God wants you to win, so He planned your life. Jeremiah 29:11
Just like Jotham, just like the four lepers of Samaria, just like our Lord Jesus Christ, you need a plan, wise planning to fulfil your mission/assignment in life.
May God give you the grace and wisdom to plan well!
Planning calls for being organised.
If God respects our decisions in life, then He respects your plan.
If God respects your thinking, then He respects your plan.
Destiny is not left up to chance, it is a matter of choice, and planning is a choice we will have to make.
The apostle Paul, after discovering his life purpose, began to make plans around his purpose.
Each nation and city he travelled to were planned and calculated attempts to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to those cities and nations, especially to reach the gentiles who he had been called to reach.
Planning is a strategy that applies to almost every area of our lives- we can plan our day, we can plan our life, we can plan our family, we can plan our time, we can plan our finances, we can plan what we spend our energies on.
The apostle Paul was a great planner.
He obviously planned his time well. Even in prison he spent his time writing letters to the churches. Letters which have become masterpieces, letters which have become the standard for the new testament believer to live by. Letters which now make up most of the new testament, letters written by the Holy Spirit through Paul. Letters so full of revelation and depth that cannot be exhausted. These letters exist because Paul planned well, he was organised and was quick to put these revelations in writing when the Spirit spoke.
Jotham became great by preparing/ planning his way before the Lord. 2 Chronicles 27:6
King David, before his death was planning the building of the temple his son later built for the Lord. 1 Chronicles 29:1-5
David was an excellent planner. The moment he received the dream of building God's house, he swung into action by preparing materials and resources towards the building of the temple before God stopped Him and informed him it was His son who was going to sit on the throne who will build the temple we all know now as Solomon's temple.
In many ways our lives our like a building.
Solomon's temple and our lives have many correlations.
Solomon's temple was glorious, and each of God's children is precious in God's sight.
Solomon's temple required planning. For our lives to turn out right we will have to plan our time, energies, prayers, battles, resources and investments well.
Solomon's temple was built by man skilled and gifted craftsmen and labourers. We will need the input of many gifted and skilled people God brings into our lives to emerge as God wants us to emerge. People like parents/guardians, teachers, mentors, ministry gifts and five fold ministry individuals. Ephesians 4:11,12
Solomon's temple was outstanding in many respects. The best resources from many lands were used to build it. God has also given you heavens best in the person of Jesus Christ to support and build you up.
Solomon's temple was unique, no other temple has been built that is that costly or unique in pattern and design. You were created unique by God. You have abilities, talents and gifts that are unique to you. If you maintain the uniqueness of who God created you to be, you can also stand out uniquely.
