You Shall Rise!

Luke 2:25-34

When Jesus was being christened in the temple according to Jewish custom, a prophecy went forth concerning him from a holy man called Simeon.

The birth of Jesus Christ is for the fall of many and the rise of many, our text passage shows this, it was part of the prophecy spoken over baby Jesus.

Every word spoken over Jesus that day played out in His life.

A part of that prophecy informs "he shall be a sign spoken against"

This meant many people will be offended by Jesus, He would be contradicted and misunderstood.

This is the reason many fall because of Jesus Christ.

You can win against the Lord, to be offended with Jesus Christ is the beginning of your downward spiral.

Till today, there are many who are offended at Jesus Christ, the mention of His name and His church.

The offense of men was part of the strategy of Satan to destroy Jesus which played into God's plan.

You have to choose which side of Jesus's prophecy you will fulfil- whether to rise through Him or fall because of Him.

Choose to rise.

Your rising through Christ is determined by what you've done with Jesus the Christ.

Where do you place Him in your order of priorities?

Where does He stand in your heart, where does He stand in your life?

The value you place on the Messiah determines how He relates with you.

1 Samuel 2:30

John 14:23

Your response to Christ will determine whether you receive all He has for you and seize the opportunities He presents you.

Revelation 3:20

We should choose to be in the category of those who rise in life through Christ.

To rise in life through Christ:

means your steps won't stumble in life.

means your past mistakes won't bring you down.

means God will make all things work together for your good.

means God will watch over your star and destiny, not allowing any man, demon, or fallen angel mess it up.

means you will be the head and not the tail.

means God will take you from the dunghill and set you among princes.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
