The light of Jesus Christ is no ordinary light.
The light of Jesus Christ is brighter than the sun.
Acts 26:13
This is the light that blinded Saul while he was on the road to Damascus before he became known as Paul the Apostle.
The light of Jesus Christ has transformative power.
An encounter with this light is not only transformative, you don't recover from it.
It radically changes lives and it becomes etched in your being.
Saul never recovered from his encounter with the light of Jesus Christ, that day marked a turning point in his life.
The light of Jesus Christ is the glory of God.
Jesus was that light of God in human form who came to the earth, God the Father's glory in the form of a human being.
John 1:14
In scripture we see this light/glory emanating from the countenance of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:16
This light is the nature, the power, and the essence of God emanating through Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6
Jesus displayed His light on the mount of transfiguration for Peter, James, and John to witness.
Matthew 17:1-9
This light is powerful and bright, it's the light that powers the new Jerusalem/heaven.
Revelation 21:23
After Paul's encounter with the light of Jesus Christ, his calling and ministry was about to start, that encounter kickstarted a ministry that was impactful, divine, sacrificial, and comprised of a lot of writing, and sharing of divine knowledge and revelation.
You cannot encounter the light of Jesus and be lacking in revelation knowledge and wisdom.
The Apostle Paul had a lot of it, he encountered the Light!
The light of God represents that which is divine, holy, positive and good.
It encompasses higher virtues, divine virtues like wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, revelation.
It was said of Daniel that light was found in him.
Daniel 5:11
Through God's light in Daniel, he became a godly force to be reckoned with in the nation of Babylon.
The light of Jesus Christ helps us navigate our way through this life.
John 8:12
The light of God is within each true follower of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 5:14-16
Christ in us is our hope of glory.
Colossians 1:28
May the glory of God, which is the light of Jesus Christ, shine through you!
