The Planting Of The Lord

 Isaiah 61:3

Our text informs about being the planting of the Lord.

In the scriptures we see plants used in parables, used to describe, pass messages across, and Jesus and His people referred to as plants.

We are spiritual plants.

God's own planting!

Plants are useful to humanity and they benefit the environment.

They beautify the environment, they help the ecological balance, and they are a part of the cycle of life.

How well a plant develops has to do with the diligence and care of the husbandman/vinedresser towards the plant.

God's people are referred to as His plants.

Isaiah 60:21

God is our husbandman/vinedresser/gardener, Jesus is the vine, we are the branches.

John 15:1-6

God cultivates our life like a farmer cultivates His farm land, and He nurtures us like  a gardener his plants and a farmer his crops.

The result is that we flourish.

Psalm 92:12-14

The outcome of God's nurture is that we become fruitful.

Jeremiah 17:7,8

Plants are useful to us in  three major ways:

1) they beautify our world and homes as part of nature.

2) they produce the fruits we eat, and they are food we consume.

3) they give out oxygen which we breath.

As spiritual plants we are useful to God and humanity, just like plants are useful to man.

As God's plants we are His people, His children, and we are beautiful in His kingdom.

Psalm 144:12

Jesus is called the Branch and the tender plant, He was a planting of the Lord on the earth.

Isaiah 11:1, Isaiah 53:2,3

A planting of the Lord is a prosperous life, a life that glorifies God.

Isaiah 60:21

A plant of the Lord is a person who will let God have His way and let God do His work in him.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ it is God's responsibility to nurture your life.

God is a responsible husbandman.

He cultivates our lives, gives us attention, and protects us from pests and parasites.

A plant of the Lord is a follower of Jesus Christ, a kingdom citizen, a born again Christian, a son/daughter of God.

A planting of the Lord is a beautiful person and life.

The result of being the Lord's plant is your life becoming like a well watered garden.

Isaiah 58:11

Your days will become like the days of heaven on earth as a plant of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 11:21

You will enjoy beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for heaviness, and a nature of righteousness as the planting of the Lord.

Isaiah 61:3

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
