Flourishing In Divine Love

 1 Corinthians 13

Our text passage is a very popular chapter on love in the scriptures.

It is the love chapter, in this chapter we see what divine love is, how important it is, and how it is the very essence of our Christian walk.

Love according to 1 Corinthians 13 is depicted as such a tall order to attain for any human.

It is a kind of love that is forgiving, sacrificial, caring, and considers the greater good.

This is the kind of love God wants fully formed in His people, His churches, and in families.

Ephesians 5:2

Human beings are naturally selfish and self seeking, it is the way of the fallen nature in humanity.

This fallen nature makes it hard and impossible to walk and operate in the love God would have us live by.

The love God wants us growing and flourishing in is divine love.

Fortunately the Spirit of God is made available through Jesus Christ to help us walk in this type of love.

It is this love that took Jesus to the cross, kept Him on the cross,  it made Him die and rise from the dead that salvation might be made available to humanity.

This divine love wiped out poverty among God's people in the early church community because the rich and the poor gave and the resources were shared equally by the Apostles to meet every man's need.

The rich were willing to sacrifice more by giving more, they didn't see it as a loss but a blessing to give, they were glad to give more to help their brethren who had fewer resources. That is love!

Acts 4:34-37

That is how poverty is banished in a community, through love!

In environments where love thrives poverty is wiped out.

True love is the cure for poverty.

The God type of love or divine love is the type of love that wins the world and points people to Christ.

The Holy Spirit helps us live and flourish in divine love.

Romans 5:5

With the Spirit at work in Him it was love at work in Jesus that made Him go about doing good, healing people, working miracles.

John 11:34-43

The anointing works with love.

Jesus had compassion and empathy on the plight of people, that is love.

Matthew 9:36

It is in love that God sent prophets in times past to give His commands and instructions to specific people and humanity.

Hebrews 1:1

It is in love that God sent angels to humanity and specific people at different times.

It is by love that God preferred human beings to angels.

Hebrews 2:5-18

It is with love that God prepared creation for man (Adam/humanity)

Genesis 1

Faith works by love.

Galatians 5:6

Hope is made fruitful by love.

Love brings hope.

1 Peter 1:3

Jesus is love personified, His sacrifice and presence brought good will to the world.

His love brought salvation and redemption, justification and sanctification to humanity.

We should be channels  of God's love, conduits of His mercy.

That is true ministry.

That's what we are called to do.

John 13:34,35

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
