Navigating A New Year

 Isaiah  42:16

Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions.

Your path matters to God.

The way you you choose to take is important to God.

Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God.

Psalm 37:23

The year ahead of you matters to God too.

Luke 13:8-9

Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God.

God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory.

Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom.

History shows we do not always make the best choices.

The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices.

Deuteronomy 30:19

To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God..

To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination.

Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or get a car with inbuilt ones.

The purpose of the GPS/Navigator is to get the driver to his/her destination in the safest way possible, it shows the driver the way to go, the path to take on it's screen.

Much like the GPS/Navigator device, the Holy Spirit in the believer leads, guides, and directs the believer in the best way possible, in the path God wants each believer to go.

Romans 8:14

To navigate this year successfully, engage the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a person and presence of God in the follower of Christ.

He is present to help us to navigate the year successfully.

John 15:26

The Holy Spirit speaks, inspires, motivates, and comforts.

You will need His ministry this year.

He knows where you should get to, He knows the destination, and He has the wisdom to supply for every choice you have to make in the year and in life.

Proverbs 2:6

Navigating the year ahead of you successfully requires hearing God, it requires God's direction.

Proverbs 3:5,6

Jesus made it clear that it's possible to hear God  and discern God's voice.

John 10:4,5

There are many voices in the world, many spirits have gone out into the world but you can discern which is of God.

1 John 4:3

Know your scriptures, the voice of the Spirit is the voice of God to you, it will not go against the scriptures.

A relationship with God will ensure you know the voice of the Spirit.

Get acquainted with how God speaks to you for the year ahead.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...
