Ezekiel 17:24
Our text shows it's God who makes people flourish.
How well a plant is looked after by the husbandman will determine how well that plant will flourish.
Jesus said the heavenly Father is the husbandman, He (Jesus) is the vine, and we (followers of Christ) are the branches.
We are meant to flourish and bear fruit to the glory of God.
Followers of Jesus Christ are part of Him, we form His body.
1 Corinthians 12:27
As each part of the human body is important and connected, so is each member and assembly of the body of Christ.
We are connected by covenant, a covenant with God. A better covenant.
Hebrews 8:6
Our covenant with God is our right to anything we can have in and through God.
By virtue of our connection to God we are connected to His life.
His life makes us flourish, His life gives us His presence which flows through us.
A major new testament covenant we have is the covenant of God's presence.
God's presence is with each believer, His presence is also with us when we gather as an assembly.
Hebrews 12:22,23
The presence of God with us is our covenant right to flourish.
Ephesians 3:20
Our children have a right to flourish in their health, academics, and spirit. It is a covenant promise which happens by God's presence with them.
Psalm 144:12
There are many covenant promises in the Bible we can pray, declare and speak over our lives and our family.
They make us flourish.
God wants you to flourish, your flourishing glorifies God.
As plants grow and blossom after the seed has been planted by the farmer, your flourishing should come after God has planted His divine life in you through Jesus Christ.
As farmers rejoice during the time of harvest when their crops have yielded their fruit, so does God rejoice when we bring forth fruit; when we flourish.
Flourishing is evidence of the blessing!
Fruitlessness is evidence of a curse.
It is worth knowing that every child of God is likened to a spiritual plant.
We are spiritual plants cultivated by God.
John 15:5
Isaiah 61:3
Isaiah 60:21
Psalm 1:1-3
Plants are meant to germinate, grow/develop, and flourish.
It is in your physical and spiritual nature to flourish.
The fig tree attracted a curse from Jesus for not bringing forth fruit.
The fig tree did not flourish as it should.
Mark 11:12-25
God rejoices over His children.
Zephaniah 3:17
As the harvest is the glory of the farmer, God receives glory when we flourish and bear fruit.
God rejoices over us.
We can flourish in the peace of God, for God gives us peace.
John 14:27
The presence of God gives us peace.
Peace is essential for growth, development, and to flourish.
Jesus is the supplier of our peace and He has paid a high price for us to enjoy peace.
Isaiah 53:5
By the covenant of Jesus's sacrifice, we should flourish and enjoy peace as an evidence of the covenant at work in our lives.
