Revelations 1:12-16
In the scripture passage/text above we read a description of the King's countenance.
Jesus Christ in His glorified, divine state.
True and successful kings maintain a spiritual connection to the King of kings and Lord of lords.
In Bible times we see from the scripture that it's earthly kings who maintained a relationship with God that was most successful.
King David was a very successful king who had God as His refuge, anchor, and strength.
King Solomon was a very successful king who had quite a peaceful reign and lots of prosperity when he loved God and maintained his relationship with the God of his father king David.
Adam was created to be the king of the earth, in the image and likeness of His maker. He had the blessing and the divine glory and mandate to function in that capacity. This was before the fall.
King Uzziah was a very successful king whose reign enjoyed a lot of innovativeness in warfare and ingenuity. He was a king marvelously helped by God. This was before he got proud and became leprous as a result of God frowning at him.
We need to focus on making the King happy with us, our God.
If you are going to be successful in your leadership and kingly office, keep your relationship with God alive.
To succeed, look to the countenance of the King- the one whose face is like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
Revelation 1:16
When we look to the countenance of the King of kings, His glory rub's off on us.
