Our True Source

1 Corinthians 8:6

Nothing can cut you down permanently and no one will succeed against you if you are connected to God through Jesus Christ.

John 10:28

A tree, even if it has been cut down still has hope as long as it still has it's roots in the ground.

If there is hope for a tree, there must be hope for you

Job 14:7-10

If the tree is not disconnected from it's source the tree will live again once it's roots make contact with water.

The root of a tree is it's source and foundation.

In scripture, God's people are likened to spiritual trees and plants.

Psalm 1:3

We are called the planting of the Lord.

Isaiah 61:3

We are called the branches of Jesus the vine.

John 15:5

We are also likened to olive plants.

Psalm 52:8

Jesus identifies Himself as a spiritual plant too.

John 15:1

He also identifies with the root of the plant.

He is the root of David.

Revelation 22:16

If you are in Christ Jesus, He is your root too!

If Christ is your root, you are set for great things!

If Jesus Christ is your root, you will and should be immovable.

Psalm 125:1

God was the anchor, the root, the refuge, the stronghold, that ensured David never lost a fight on the battle field.

2 Samuel 8:1-15

God is our source, our true source.

Unfortunately, there are so many people who do not take God as their source.

Their faith is in something else.

The faith they should have in God has been put in something else or other things, like their education, their spouses, their children, their jobs, their careers, friends, their money, their wealth or business connections.

They have refused to trust the one true God who sustains their life, gives them daily bread, and supplies the air they breath.

Some even put their faith in the universe and leave out God who created them.

Romans 1:25

The universe is not God.

God is not the universe.

God created the universe.

The universe is not to be worshiped.

The universe is the handiwork of God.

God is our true source.

Our root!

My root!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
