Genesis 2:9
It is God's will that we truly live.
It is God's will that we have true life.
The desire for God's human creation to truly live is the reason for God putting the tree of life in the garden of Eden.
Everything we see God give to man before sin became a part of life is still God's will for you today.
Matthew 19:8
In Eden, man had the blessing, he and his wife were clothed in glory, and the power to subdue, to be fruitful, and multiply was given to them.
They had dominion over the water realm (aquatic), the land (terrestrial) and the skies/heavenly (celestial) realms.
Genesis 1:26-28
The tree of life put in the garden of Eden was to ensure Adam and Eve and humanity truly live.
Genesis 2:9
To truly live is to live well, live strong, and finish well as a result of knowing God and being connected to Him.
To truly live is to make a choice to live.
Choose life. The life God offers!
Deuteronomy 30:19
True living will answer to a choice you will have to make.
Joshua 24:15
God respects our choices and decisions.
In Eden, Adam and Eve chose wrongly and couldn't truly live.
Genesis 3:11-24
The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil were trees Adam and Eve had to make a choice about.
Genesis 2:16,17
Unfortunately they chose wrong.
They chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil over the tree of life.
Human beings have not stopped making wrong decisions unfortunately.
The state of the world today is as a result of the wrong choices human beings keep on making. The results are all around us, from climate change, to wrong leadership at different levels, to the separation and divorce rate, following wrong career paths, wrong spiritual choices etc
Humanity does not always make the best decisions for itself.
If Adam and Eve had ate from the tree of life they would still be around today, and the course of humanity and the world would have been positively different.
We (those in Christ Jesus) will still have the opportunity to eat from the tree of life in a physical sense.
Revelation 2:7
But in a spiritual sense we have access to the tree of life.
The tree of life is symbolic of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the life.
John 14:6
Jesus is the giver and restorer of true life.
John 10:10
To have true life we must be partakers of Jesus Christ.
We eat His body and drink His blood!
John 6:55-58
Jesus is the giver and restorer of true life.
John 10:10
Jesus likened Himself to a spiritual tree or plant.
John 15:1-8
Jesus benefits us, the way the tree of life would have benefit Adam and Eve if they ate from it.
He is the real tree of life.
All throughout His ministry while on earth in the flesh, Jesus identified with life, gave life and restored life.
