Deliver Us From Evil

 Matthew 6:11

The scripture is clear that God is the one who truly delivers.

In the Lord's prayer we see Jesus asking His disciples to pray for deliverance from evil.

Some Bible translations read "deliver us from the evil one".

Satan is the evil one.

1 John 5:19

If there was no enemy (evil one) there will be no need for deliverance as there will be no evil.

There is evil in the world because the evil one is on the earth.

Revelation 12:7-9

The devil's presence on earth resists the will of God and causes unfavorable circumstances and situations.

Matthew 16:23

For these reasons, there's a need for the ministry of deliverance.

The ministry of deliverance was a crucial aspect of the ministry of Jesus Christ.

Deliverance is simply to be set free or rescued.

The word deliverance connotes being released from the grip or clutches of someone, something, or circumstances that is beyond us.

Deliverance is an entitlement and benefit of citizens of God's kingdom.

Obadiah 1:17

The deliverance God grants is complete.

God doesn't deliver haphazardly, He delivers completely.

The scriptures is loaded with examples of God's deliverance, they are recorded to encourage, inspire, and make us know what we can expect.

God delivered an entire nation from the wicked hold of another nation- Israel from Pharaoh and Egypt.

God delivered the nation of Nineveh from the path of destruction.

God delivers people, nations, and individuals.

Jesus came into the world to deliver us.

Isaiah 61:1

Jesus delivers from Satan, sin and sickness.

He delivers by His Word.

Psalm 107:20

He delivers by His Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17

God delivers us from the evil under the sun, the evil on earth.

God reverses unfavorable circumstances.

Ecclesiastes 10:5-7

God delivers from sickness.

God delivers us from injustice.

God delivers from the devices and schemes of the wicked.

Job 5:12

God is the great deliverer!

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
