Thriving In Difficult Times

Genesis 26:11-13

God wants you to succeed during these difficult times.
You can thrive in difficult times.
God wants you to do well when others have a doubt about the future, the present state of the world and it's uncertain phases.
Job 22:29

You can thrive and prevail in these perilous times.
The scriptures show us examples of God's people who did well in difficult times.
The times we are in are dark times and light is the answer to darkness.
God's light is available to us in darkness.
Isaiah 60:1-3
God's word promises us light when it gets dark in this world!
God's word is likened to light. Psalm 119:105
God's Word is light! John 1:1-5

When God's word comes to us in spoken or written form that is light coming to us.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob each thrived in difficult times by the word or revelation spoken and shown to them by God.
Galatians 3:16
The spoken word to us from God becomes a promise that never fails.
The word magnified to us by God during scripture study is a promise to us that will never fail.

Receiving God's word should be done with an open heart.
Acts 16:14
Hearing God's voice will have a lot to do with our spiritual sensitivity.
Ephesians 1:18
To be spiritually sensitive is to cultivate the skill of being aware of God's presence and voice. It means having an enlightened heart.
God speaks and His voice directs, leads, strengthens and guides us in difficult and dark times.

In a dark world you will need the voice of God.
If you are spiritually sensitive enough you will know when He is speaking to you and hear/understand what He is telling you.
God still speaks today because God doesn't change.
Hebrews 13:8

The responsibility is ours to position ourselves to hear from God.
The responsibility is ours to be spiritually sensitive to God.
Accepting God through Jesus Christ is a step in the right direction but hearing God will require learning to be sensitive to God.
It is a skill you develop with time, prayer, and practice.
It is sharpened in the place of regular worship, prayer, and being still before God.
Psalm 46:10

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
