The Greatest Event

Hebrews 11:3-38

A lot has happened under the sun.

The flood during Noah's time, the splitting of the red sea, fire falling from heaven as a result of Elijah's prayer, the resurrection of legions of armies as prophet Ezekiel  prophesied, Jesus raising people from the dead, a teenage boy (David) killing Goliath, and God creating the man and forming the woman.

These were all great events and occurrences in their time.

We have had the first world war, the second world war, the rise of the Roman empire, the Persian empire, the Babylonian empire, the French revolution and the holocaust.
Many great occurrences and events are still happening and will still happen in our world on social, economic, political, and spiritual levels.
The Bible confirms this.
Matthew 24: 3-42

The greatest occurrence or event that has ever happened did not have the attention of the media or paparazzi.
There was no red carpet rolled out for this event, no fancy dresses or costumes on display, there were no exotic cars or chariots to show off, there was no beauty competition or rivalry among the audience or main men involved.

Many did not see it for what it was when it was happening and many still don't recognize it in our present time.
This greatest event had Satan in deception along with the princes of this world he used.
1 Corinthians 2:8
It was an event that's a master plan of God, it was properly carried out, it was a skillful execution of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit's agenda.
Matthew 20:18-19
It is a divine work with earthly impact that brought about the mystery of the ages -Christ in you the hope of glory.
Colossians 1:27

The greatest event that has ever happened occurred on Calvary, on a woden cross without pomp and pageantry.
There was nothing but sweat, blood, wounds, heat and visions of torture before those witnessing what was happening.
Mark 15:27-27,32.
Nails were used to fasten three men unto wooden crosses after Jesus Christ had been beaten, torn and unrecognizable as the one who was among us, full of grace and truth.
Isaiah 52:14

It was needful for Jesus to go through this.

Love is the greatest, by His suffering He was demonstrating His love for a suffering humanity, a people fallen from glory.
This event resulted in victory - the resurrection.
He became our living hope.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the greatest event.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
