A God Of Positive Surprises

2 Kings 7:9-17

God is a God who schedules surprises into the life of His people.
God has good plans for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11
Part of that good plan God has for you are positive surprises.

Since God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think He does it in a way that is a positive surprise to His people.
When God does exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think it turns out to be a positive surprise to the recipient.
Ephesians 3:20,21

When Jesus turned water into wine it was a positive surprise to the groom and the chairman of the occasion.
John 2:8,9
What could have been a time of insufficiency, lack, difficulty, and embarrassment turned into a moment of praise, sufficiency, and satisfaction because Jesus Christ got involved.
When David killed Goliath, forty days of harassment came to an end for the Israelites.
1 Samuel 17:16
That day turned out a positive surprise for those in God's camp because God was on the side of a young shepherd boy.
When God delivered four lepers from hunger, poverty, and an uncertain future it was a positive surprise to them.
God gave them sweatless victory by an inspired thought.
2 Kings 7:3-8
Through prophecy God changed the economic situation of an entire nation within twenty four hours from famine to abundance, from lack to sufficiency.
2 kings 7:1,2
2 kings 7:19
That was a positive surprise.

There is something God will bring your way that will bring about your positive surprise.
-It may be a divine instruction (like Jesus gave at the marriage in Cana of Galilee)
-It may be an inspired thought (like the 4 lepers received)
-It may be a word of prophecy (like Elisah gave during famine)

There is something God has given you that can bring about your positive surprises.
-Your faith (like David when he faced Goliath)
-Your anointing (who teaches you in all things) 1 John 2:20
-Your hope (like Abraham who hoped against hope) Romans 4:18
-Your praise (which God loves and responds to) Psalm 22:3

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
