The Double Blessing!

Isaiah 61:7

God is a God who blesses.
The gospel is a gospel of blessing.
We cannot talk about the love of God and the goodness of God without considering His ability to bless.
God blesses because He is good and He is the blessed One.
1 Timothy 6:15

Not only does God bless, He can also give double blessings.
A double blessing is a blessing that gives significantly more to an individual or people over others.

Elisha the prophet received significantly more than the sons of the prophet.
He received a double portion blessing in the form of double of Elijah's spirit.
Benjamin, the youngest son of Jacob/Israel received much more gifts and also food at Joseph's table over his older siblings. The double portion of God's blessing was at work for Benjamin.
Rebecca was compensated with twins (two sons) after a season of being barren. That is a double portion blessing.

There is nothing wrong with wanting more or having more.
The blessing manifests as more or double when God favors.
If you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ you are a righteous person in God's sight.
Those who are righteous are entitled to God's favor.
Psalm 5:12

Every true child of God should be a beneficiary of God's favor.
God's people are called to be blessed and called to spread the blessing of the kingdom.
Every child of God has an inheritance in Christ.
Your inheritance is what God has prepared for you that pertains to life and godliness.
2 Peter 1:3
When God's favor is on a specific child of God, double blessings can show up in the inheritance of that son/daughter of God.
Isaiah 61:7
This is God's will for you.

A child of God should not be cursed but blessed.
When the blessing is upon your life, every curse released in your direction should turn into a blessing.
The blessing was upon the nation of Israel but an insecure enemy king wanted them cursed.
The blessed God turned what should have been curses into blessings for the Israelites.
Numbers 23:11

The idea of the blessing is from God and He is the one who truly blesses.
The first word Adam heard was a word of blessing.
Genesis 1:28
The double portion blessing can come when God chooses to compensate His child for every trouble he experienced.
Job 42:10

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
