Defeating The Lions Of Life

Psalm 22:11-13

Lions are beasts, they are devourers and are regarded as kings of the jungle.
Lions use fear as a tactic to defeat their prey and have teeth, speed and strength to tear apart their victim.
As tough and intimidating as the lion is, it can still be defeated, captured and even killed.

Many things in the natural realm are similar to what things are like in the spirit realm.
Lions are very symbolic in the Bible:
Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah
The devil operates like a lion. 1 Peter 5:8
Evil spirits operate like lions because they are devourers and the Bible calls them beasts. Malachi 3:11, Psalm 22:21
Evil spirits can be wild and violent like lions, we see this when Jesus was on the cross. Psalm 22:11,12
There are lion like angels. Ezekiel 1:10
Lions are used to represent victory and royalty. Genesis 49:9

Evil spirits want to be victorious over you.
We can become victims of the lions of life if we don't listen to God.
1 Kings 20:36
Evil spirits can be rendered powerless like we can do with lions.
Evil spirits, whether fallen angels or demons can be defeated, overcome and dealt with.
We see this with Samson who defeated a lion with his bare hands.
Judges 14:5,6
Samson's exploit is evidence to us that with God's strength and presence the lions of life can be defeated.
In the same way Samson defeated a physical lion, we can defeat every spiritual lion that comes against us.

Daniel overcame the lions of life that came against him.
Daniel 6:17-24
Jesus experienced the physical violence of spiritual lions when He was on the cross.
He defeated them, He made an open show of their defeat.
Colossians 2:15
Like lions, evil spirits are called beasts in the Bible.
Lions are killers, so we have to be aware of the lions of life and know how to defeat them.
We may not have physical lions to confront but there are evil spirits who kill, destroy, steal and harass like lions.

Anyone who is not in Christ Jesus can be a victim of the spiritual lions of life at anytime.
No matter how clever you are the lions of life can come against you.
Daniel was a clever man but he still found himself in the lions den.
No matter how anointed you are, the lions of life will still try to fight you.
In fact the more you walk in the anointing, the more you attract them.
A young prophet was killed by one, he was anointed.
1 kings 13:24,25
Jesus Christ was as anointed as any man can be yet the Bible reveals the presence of lions against Him.

How to defeat the lions of life:
1) Have salvation. (1 John 4:4)
2) Believe in God's protection and ask for it. (Psalm 32:7)
3) Know who you are in Christ. (Daniel 11:32)
4) Stay in the path of divine direction. (Proverbs 3:5,6)

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

Healing For Your Soul Wounds!

Malachi 4:2 Your soul is a vital part of your life. Your soul is part of who you are. Your soul needs to function well for things to go well with you. Your prosperity is linked to your soul. 3 John 2 Your soul is the decision making center of your life. God cares about the state of your soul. God created your soul and wants your soul to function well. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body. When your soul is wounded As our natural bodies can be affected, so can our souls. As we can have physical wounds and sores caused b...
