RELEASING THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL.

Hebrews 4:12

The Word of God is powerful.
Romans 1:16
The gospel of Jesus Christ can release us from bondage, set us free from sin, release God's blessings and empower us for success.
This means the Word of God has power!
It takes power to release people and set them free!

As simple as the Word of God is, it is powerful.
The Word of God is simple.
The new testament doctrine is simple.
2 Corinthians 11:3
Jesus made it simple.
The simplicity of the gospel makes our devotion sincere and pure.
It is simple because it is about grace, faith and truth.
It is simple because there are no animal sacrifices, shedding of blood and old testament rituals.
It is simple because it doesn't require endless genealogies and fables.
It is simple because you don't need to do a load of research or engage in complex processes to receive salvation.

Receiving Christ is a simple, straight forward process.
All it involves is hearing and believing, taking and accepting God's Word as it is.
The Christian walk is simply allowing Christ to live His life through you.
The power in God's Word comes from God's Spirit.
The power to live an effective Christian life is supplied by God's Spirit.
Luke 1:35

You do not have to look far for power.
All you have to do is look in the right direction.
When we receive the Word of God, power is released for our deliverance.
Psalm 107:20
This happens because the Word of God and the Holy Spirit agree.
1 John 5:8

When we add to the gospel, it is no longer the gospel.
When we subtract from the gospel, it is no longer the gospel.
 Revelations 22:18,19
This is why God frowns at 'another gospel'.
Another gospel is a perversion of the Word of God.
It is God's Word that has been taken from or added to.
 Galatians 1:8

When we depart from the gospel as it has been given, it loses it's power.
If we are going to return to the power of the gospel once again like we read about in Acts and as we see with the Apostles we have to accept it and teach it in it's simplicity.
The Holy Spirit knows the true Word of God.
The Holy Spirit will not supply His power to any preaching or teaching that He doesn't recognize.

How to know the true Word of God:
a) If it is the true Word of God, power will follow it.
 Mark 16:20
b) If it is the true Word of God, it will bring joy most times.
Acts 8:4-8
c) If it is the true Word of God, it will build people up.
It will offer hope and help people.
 Acts 20:32
d) If it is the true Word of God, it will correct people.
2 Timothy 3:16
e) If it is the true Word of God, it will enlighten people.
 John 8:12
f) If it is the true Word of God people will be edified by it.
 Romans 14:19

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
