What To Expect When You're In Christ

Psalm 62:5, Jeremiah 29:11

Our expectation as followers of Jesus is very important.
Our expectation is our hope.
Our hope will not be dashed because it is not false hope but hope rooted in an unshakeable faith in God. Proverbs 10:28

We can expect and hope for great things in Christ Jesus because there are many great promises for us in God's Word. God's grace has made this possible. 2 Peter 1:4

We can expect wonderful things from God because of who God is. God is faithful and merciful. Lamentations 3:22-23

Let's not settle for less than the best as individuals and as a ministry. John 2:10,11
We can expect God's bestbecause we are heirs of God. We are sons and daughters of God and webare entitled to the best our Father has. Romans 8:17

We must not cheat ourselves and we must not let the devil cheat us.
We cheat ourselves when we settle for less than the best.
We cheat ourselves when we don't put our best foot forward in all we do.
We cheat ourselves when we continue to live in sin. Romans 6:23
We cheat ourselves when we choose to be ignorant of God's Word. Hosea 4:6

What are you hoping for in Christ Jesus?

Some of the things to expect in Christ:

1. Salvation - is from the greek word 'sozo' which means to be healed, made whole and be saved.

4.Wisdom - Revelations 5:12

5. Grace - enablement & favor to do what God has called you to do, to be who God wants you to be. James 4:6

6. Direction - God is a Master at directing His people.. God plays he role of shepherd to His people. Psalm 80:1

7. Divine Presence - part of the benefit of the new covenant we have in Christ is that the Holy Spirit stays and abides with us permanently. Acts 17:28

When we are in Christ, there are also things we can expect from the world - John 13:16

a) Expect People To misunderstand you: John 2:19, Matthew 26:61

b) Expect hatred: Matthew 12:13,14

c) Expect jealousy and Envy: Matthew 27:17,18

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. Car drivers either buy a GPS/Navigation device system or
