RESURRECTING YOUR DREAM

Romans 8:11, John 11:25, Psalm 37:4

Not everyone achieves and manifests the dreams God has put in their heart.
It's not because some of them don't know the dreams God has put in their hearts, but some where along the line they allowed their dreams to die.
Dreams can die. it's possible for dreams to die.

Dreams can die because:-

1) People die- human beings are the carriers of dreams and when people die, at times their dreams die with them and they have no heir or successor to carry on their dreams. They didn't train anyone or duplicate their dream.

2) People loose focus- focus is needed to achieve or manifest our dreams. One of Satan's strategies is to break people's focus.
If your focus can be broken, your dreams can die. Satan can give people w wrong dream or vision to mislead, mis-direct and break people's focus. Eg. Judas Iscariot

3) People loose motivation for their dreams- rest is needed for dreams to be fulfilled or a person can burn out. Fatigue, tiredness, laziness, restlessness and unwillingness to work on our dreams are evidence of loss of motivation for your dream.

4) People stop dreaming- When we were children we imagined a lot. We believed a lot, we visualized and had our dreams that were possible in our minds.
But we grow up and loose that aspect of possibility thinking we had as children which we need for our lives and dreams as adults.

5) People are overtaken by challenges or storms of life- Matthew 14:28-32
People allow their dreams to sink under the weight of challenges. People look to their challenges and difficulties instead of looking at God's abilities, in the process they give up on their dreams.
That you tried a few times and things didn't work out doesn't mean you should give up. Eg. Moses. Moses never gave up despite Pharaoh's many "no's".
People who fail are people who didn't know how close they were to success before they gave up

Considering all these stumbling blocks on the path to dreams that make dreams die, what can we do to resurrect our dreams?

To resurrect our dreams:-

1) LET THE HOLY SPIRIT RESURRECT YOUR DREAMS- If the Holy Spirit can resurrect the dead He can also resurrect dreams.
Resurrecting a dead human being is harder than resurrecting a dead dream, the Holy Spirit can resurrect and has resurrected dead human beings effortlessly. So He can resurrect your dreams, give Him a chance.
God's Spirit is the one who gives dreams to God's people (Joel 2:28), and He can uncover them when they have been covered. Hebrews 11:19

2) DON'T LISTEN TO DOUBTERS, CRITICS & NEGATIVE PEOPLE- Luke 8:49- 55
Some people have negative mindsets and see everything from an impossible angle.
Doubters, critics, secret enemies, and detractors are many in life. Who you choose to listen to and believe matters in the journey of life.
Don't listen to people who think you can't make it.

3) STAY CONNECTED TO THE 'VINE'- Jesus has all power. Jesus is the vine according to
John 15:5
We are the branches.
You need to stay connected to Jesus so His power will flow through you to help you fulfill your dreams.
Jesus fulfilled His dream, let Him help you fulfill yours.

4) RECEIVE INSPIRATION FROM THE BIBLE- the Bible stories can inspire you on the path to your dream. The Bible is full of stories of men who walked in God's best for their lives and achieved dreams, they are called "cloud of witnesses" and we can draw inspiration from their stories, learn from their mistakes and apply what they did right. Hebrews 12:1

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination.
