Matthew 6:33
You can have and live a righteous life that God is pleased with irrespective of your past, your mistakes, and poor choices/decisions from the past.
Righteousness is important to God and it should be important to you.
Righteousness is important that's why Jesus asked us to seek for it, He asked us to seek for the righteousness of God.
If it wasn't possible to get righteous Jesus wouldn't have asked us to seek for it.
The purpose of seeking for God's righteousness is to get it and make it ours.
You can seek for the righteousness of God, find it, and it becomes who you are.
You can become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
2 Corinthians 5:21
Righteousness is associated with purity, it's also associated with God's kingdom
The blood of Jesus makes us clean and righteous.
Righteousness can spread, it is inspiring and contagious.
Like a flame of fire righteousness can spread from one person to another.
The righteous life is a beautiful life.
Like a single flame that spreads and grows into a wild fire with much impact, your choice for righteousness can spread, gain influence and make an impact beyond your imagination.
The righteousness of Daniel and his friends in Babylon impacted that nation and it spread in Babylon.
Daniel 2:46-49
Daniel 3:28
The righteous become citizens of God's kingdom.
The righteous will wear the white robes of righteousness and dine at the marriage supper of the lamb.
Revelation 19:8,9
Righteousness is a key to promotion, righteousness brings exaltation, righteousness brings about lifting.
Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness makes a man qualify for God's best.
Righteousness promotes and progresses our lives while sin is a reproach which can cause demotion.
Choose righteousness.
It is a beautiful thing that a sinful mortal human being can be made righteous.
This is what Jesus paid the price for.
This is what the blood of Christ does.
This is what the Spirit of God produces in a life.
If there was hope for characters like Mary Magdalene, if there was hope for the woman caught in the act of adultery, if there was hope for the woman who anointed the feet of Jesus and robbed them with her hair, if there was hope for Rahab the prostitute, then there is hope for you to be righteous.
James 2:25
