The Benefits Of God

 Psalm 103:1,2

There are benefits that come with serving God and following God.

Our text passage shows us this.

Psalm 103 lists the benefits that are and can be ours from God.

The Bible shows us many benefits of God and we will do well not to forget them.

God distinguishes between those who serve Him and those who don't.

Exodus 8:23

Malachi 3:18

It is important to know the benefits of anything we are doing and anyone we are following.

We are not created to live lives of continuous service, discipleship, and following God without any rewards.

Colossians 3:23,24

There are rewards God has for you and benefits He wants you to enjoy.

The wisdom of rewarding and making benefits available started with God, it comes from God.

As there are certain benefits that come with being gifted, talented, being married, associating with certain people, living right, taking care of yourself and blessing others, there are benefits  that come with following and obeying God.

1 Corinthians 15:18

The benefits of God are compensation, rewards, or blessings that come with being associated with God.

God has benefits for you!

Benefits are things we stand to gain and enjoy.

Right from the beginning, God has always sought to benefit humanity.

We see this with the account of creation, we see God prepared and put everything beneficial in place for man before man arrived on the scene of life.

Genesis 1

Psalm 103:12

10. God pities us.

God's benefits are good enough reasons for us to bless God.

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18...

Out Of The Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 Ashes are not seen as useful substances. Ashes are waste that's thrown away. Ashes are what is left after a substance is burnt out. Your life may seem like ashes right now but something good and beautiful can come out of it when it's given to God. You may feel like an ash yourself. You may be feeling burnt out from unpleasant experiences of the past, the previous week, the last Month , or the the last year and life's battles may have left you burnt out. Know that out of your ashes can come beauty! God is the one who gives us beauty for ashes. God can make you and your life beautiful! Don't make the ashes your permanent state. God can make your season of ashes work out into a season of glory for you. Romans 8:28 The phoenix is a mystical and fictional bird that burns out after living for about six centuries. After burning itself out it rises from it's ashes renewed, youthful and revitalized to live through another life cycle. Like the p...

Your prosperity is linked to your soul. 3 John 2 Your soul is the decision making center of your life. God cares about the state of your soul. God created your soul and wants your soul to function well. It is the will of God that your soul is preserved until the coming back of Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 Your soul is made up of your will, your mind and your emotions. You need your will, your mind and your emotions to function properly and to be regarded as a well balanced human being. Your soul is valuable and the enemy wants it. Your soul is part of the reason you are saved and a part of God's kingdom. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 We are spirits who have a soul and live in a body.
