Your Garment Of Glory

Exodus 28:2

In the old testament the priests of God were arrayed in robes that were glorious and beautiful.
The purpose of these unique robes was to make them (priests) distinct from the other children of Israel.
The priestly garment was something of a glorious uniform priests wore which reveals they are set apart, called and distinguished for God's service.

In Christ Jesus we are spiritual priests.
1 Peter 2:9
So there is a garment of glory in the spirit realm that shows who those in Christ Jesus are.

God is a God of uniqueness and variety.
God is a God who sets apart and distinguishes.
The scriptures is full of evidence of this.
He distinguishes between people, nations, siblings, miracles and achievements.

In Jacob's family, God put a distinction upon Joseph among Jacob's children.
This distinction was further evidenced by the coat/garment of many colors Jacob gave to Joseph who is his favorite son.
Joseph's gift- the coat/garment of many colors represents the favor, call, mantle, anointing, royalty, and manifold wisdom of God upon Joseph's life.

Twice we see the garment/robe of Joseph taken from him in the Bible account.
Each time Joseph's robe/garment was taken from him something unfortunate happened to him.
The first time he had his robe taken away from him (by his brothers) he ended up in a pit and was sold to slavery.
Genesis 37:23,24

The second time Joseph lost a robe he ended up in prison unfairly.
Genesis 39:12-21
Prior to his loosing his robe on two occasions, on each occasion he was doing well.
Before his brothers stripped him of his multicolored robe which was a gift from his father, he was enjoying his father's favor and love.
Before Joseph left his robe in Mrs Potiphar's hand he was enjoying favor and success with Potiphar his boss.

There seems to be a link between the robes of Joseph and his well being.
What happened to Joseph each time he lost his robe was an attack.
The Bible records that the archers shot at Joseph.
We don't see any men with bow and arrows shoot at Joseph in the scriptures.
Genesis 49:22,23

The archers who shot at Joseph were spiritual archers.
Their attacks caused the tragedies and pain in Joseph's life.
The attack of these archers resulted in physical attacks and loss.
The attacks of these archers made Joseph loose his garments.
When your garment is lost  your nakedness is exposed.
When you experience attempts from men to expose you, disgrace you, and cause loss in your life, just know you are under the attack of spiritual archers.
Psalm 91:5
They couldn't stop Joseph, so they will not be able to stop you too.

When your garment is lost your nakedness is exposed.
What happened to Joseph in the natural represents what is happening to many people in the spiritual realm.
As Joseph lost his garments physically, the enemy has stolen the garments of many people spiritually.
John 10:10

Just as Joseph had a coat of many colors, you also have a garment of glory that God has given you.
Isaiah 61:10
This garment is needed for the fulfillment of your destiny.
Your garment of glory is needed for your forward movement and progress in life.
Your garment of glory is necessary to attract the right things and people into your life.
Your garment of glory brings honor, dignity, and lifting into your life.

Garments have spiritual representations in the Bible:
1.The robe of righteousness.
2.The garment of Jesus Christ that centurion soldiers cast lots for.
3.The garment of Jesus Christ that the woman with the issue of blood touched the helm of and received her wholeness.
4.God made garments for Adam and Eve from animal skin as an improvisation after they lost their garment of glory.
5.Adam and Eve didn't know what nakedness was until they lost the garments of glory that covered them after their disobedience.
6.The garment of praise
7.Garments of salvation
8.Angels are described as having white garments on etc

Your Father Hears

Matthew 6:5,6 Prayer should be directed to the Father. Jesus showed this when He taught His disciples the Lord's prayer. It should be a great comfort to you to know that the creator and God of all hears you when you pray. This should encourage you to pray and keep praying. In our day to day relationships with people our communication will reduce towards those who don't pay attention when we're talking to them. The good thing about God is that He is never distracted. Know you have His attention when you pray . He can be communicated with. He hears, He created the ears. Psalm 94:9 Jesus encouraged prayer. Matthew 26:40 Jesus taught prayer. Luke 11:1,2 If Jesus prayed, you will need to pray. Why Should You Pray? *Pray because prayer brings God's intervention. Isaiah 38:5,6 *Pray because that's how you are authorized to communicate with God. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 *Pray because it is a major way of birthing God's will on earth. 1 Kings 18

Navigating A New Year

Isaiah  42:16 Our text passage above shows us God is the one who shows us the path to take and leads us in new directions. Your path matters to God. The way you you choose to take is important to God. Your steps are seen by God and ordered by God. Psalm 37:23 The year ahead of you matters to God too. Luke 13:8-9 Each year God has given you the grace to witness, experience, and journey through is another opportunity to be fruitful for God. God wants you to make the most of the year ahead of you to His glory. Human beings do not always know the way and path to go, we can be limited in wisdom. History shows we do not always make the best choices. The year ahead of us will require knowing the way to go, having the wisdom to make the best decisions and choices. Deuteronomy 30:19 To successfully navigate the year we need to stay in God.. To navigate is to find your way through, it is following the right path to a specific destination. The Importance Of The Anointing

Acts 10:38 The anointing is the presence of the Holy Spirit with a person. The anointing speaks, the anointing directs, and the anointing teaches people what they need to know and do. 1 John 2:27 You need the anointing. You can grow in the anointing. It is also possible to depart from the anointing. The anointing won't depart from you but you can depart from the anointing. You should remain in Him. It is worth it investing time to understand the your anointing, growing in your anointing and obeying the anointing. As you get to know a person better by spending time with them, so it is with the anointing in your life. With the anointing, you can't go wrong. The anointing strategically positions you in God's kingdom and in life. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:9 Jesus had the anointing when He was here on earth. Jesus is our example of what our life can be when we have the anointing. Hebrews 12:2 Jesus knew His purpose. Luke 2:49 Jesus
